General note ABSTRACT Nonan, Larry, Jr. G, November 2022. Feeding of Madre de agua and Sweet Potato Vines promotes growth performance to Rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus L.). Master of Science in Agriculture, major in Animal Science. Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: Maria Fe S. Bulao, Ph.D. To evaluate the production performance of rabbits fed with different forages and levels of concentrates, a study was conducted from February to April 2022 to determine the performance of rabbit production fed with different forages and levels of concentrates at the BPSU, Abucay Campus. Thirty-six, ten weeks old non-descript rabbits consisting of 24 females and 12 males were used in the study with two factor-factorial experiments in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Factor A was the different forages (Madre de agua, and Sweet potato vines) while Factor B was the levels of concentrates (0, 15%, 30%). Results revealed that the performance of rabbits in terms of average gain in weight, average feed consumption, final weight, dressing percentage, and visceral organs weight (heart, liver, and lungs) did not obtain significant differences among all treatments. However, the rabbits fed with different forages and no inclusion of any levels of concentrates had a significant effect on their feed conversion ratio at the 5% level. The use of madre de agua and sweet potato vines in rabbit production is strongly recommended to reduce the cost of production. A study of these forages in feeding rabbits at their breeding stage is recommended to further gain information on the nutritional benefits to rabbits.
