General note ABSTRACT Vitalicio, Loreen Lois V. June 2023. Performance of Different Broiler Strains Supplemented with Multi-Strain Probiotics And Silymarin. Master of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: ARIS F. MICLAT, DVM, MS The study was conducted for 38 days at PSAU San Agustin, Magalang, Pampanga to evaluate the production performance of Cobb as Supplemented with Multi-Strain Probiotics and Silymarin. A two-factor factorial experiment in Randomized Blocked Complete Design (RCBD) was used in the study. Factor A was the broiler strains and, Factor B was the type of probiotic supplementation. A total of 90-day-old Cobb broiler chicks and 90- day-old Ross broiler chicks were randomly divided into six experimental groups, with 30 chicks in cach group having threc replicates. Findings showed that supplementation of multi-strain probiotics + MVAAEM and multi-strain probiotics + Sylimarin in the drinking water of the birds did not significantly affect the performance of the Cobb in terms of gain in weight, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio as well as the villi length and width. The highest net income was registered by those birds given multi-strain probiotics + Sylimarin and the lowest net income in birds under treatment A2B1. Results indicate that the strain and type of probiotic supplementation in the drinking water did not significantly influence the performance of the birds.
