Garcia Title Rescarcher School Degree Date Completed Adviser The study generally aimed to determine the factors influencing the Barangay Turu, Magalang, Pampanga households' behavior regarding dengue prevention and control. Through quantitative research methods, the questionnaires were administered to 183 household heads in Barangay Turu, Magalang, Pampanga. The Frequency Distribution Table, mean, and Pearson Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis. As to the findings, most of the respondents are 28 to 37 years old, and the majority are females and high school undergraduates. In terms of their sources of information, printed materials and Faccbook posts were the respondents' common information sources on dengue prevention and control. As to their attitude, it was seen that they viewed dengue prevention and control initiatives positively. Also, it was determined that they received socictal pressure to conduct dengue prevention from their community, neighbors, family, and friends. Additionally, the respondents generally had the intention to conduct dengue prevention measures. Moreover, based on the results, it was seen that respondents were sometimes practicing dengue prevention and control initiatives. The findings also suggest that their sources of information were not significantly related to their attitude and subjective norms. However, it was observed that their attitude and subjective norms had a significant relationship. Additionally, it was found that their subjective norms and behavioral intentions were significantly related. Similarly, their behavioral intentions were significantly related to their behavior. Hence, these results support the Theory of Reasoned Action's assumptions. Since attitude and subjective norms are seen to have an impact on respondents' behavioral intentions that leads to such behaviors on dengue prevention and control, it. |
