April 2023. "AUTOLOCK APPLICATION ON OVERHEATED MOBILE PHONES", Adviser: Dr. Raquel B. Rivera Due to the large demand for using mobile phones, most of the problems the researcher gathered were caused by people overusing their mobile phones. Overheating devices is a common issue when users overuse their devices, An Overheating mobile phone can cause permanent damage. There are various reasons why your Android device might overheat. Apps that take up a lot of your phone's resources, or it could be just summer heat. Whatever the reason might be, what's important is that you cool down your Android device as soon as possible. This study aimed to help Android mobile phone users reduce the excessive heat of their devices by monitoring their battery temperature, cooling down the CPU, and preventing them from using their devices when they become overheated. The researchers used agile methodology and prototyping to develop the system, which uses Java as the main programming language, Android Studio for the IDE, and SQLite for the database. Interviews, questionnaires, and internet research were used in data gathering. The primary data collected in the presented questionnaires were interpreted using statistical procedures. The researchers concluded that the battery optimizer is needed based on the results received from the IT specialists, with an overall mean score of 4.28, which was interpreted as strongly agree. The users' feedback, with an overall mean score of 4.81 and interpreted as strongly agree, led the researchers to draw the conclusion that the apps had attained functioning and accomplished their goals. After the development, the researcher concluded that the system can be used on all Android mobile phones.
