General note | ABSTRACT LAXAMANA, EDWIN M. June 2020, PEREORMANCE OF NSIC RC 216 (0ryza sativa) SUPPLEMENTED WITH OLIAR FERTILIZER. BACHELOR OE SCIENCE IN AGRICUTURE, MAIOR IN CROP SCIENCE Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang. Pampanga. Adviser: Janette B, Musni, Ph. D. This study was conducted from August 18 2019, to November 19, 2019 at Palayamanan Project at PAC, Magalang Pampanga. The experiment aimed to determine the performance of NSIC RC 216 rice variety supplemented with different levels of Foliar fertilizer. The experimental design used was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications, The treatments were T1- farmers' practice, T2 - recommended rate (RR) of inorganic fertilizer based on soil analysis, T3 -recommended rate (RR) of inorganic fertilizer plus 50% lower (Iml in 4 liters of water per plot or 571 ml/ha), T4- RR of inorganic fertilizer + 75% lower (1.Sml in 4 liters of water per plot or 857 ml/ha.), T5- RR of inorganic fertilizer + 150% higher (3ml in 4 liters of water per plot or 1,714 ml/ha.), and T6 - 100 % lower of foliar fertilizer (2ml in 4 liters of water per plot or 1,143 ml/ha.). Results revealed the following: The number of productive tillers was significantly affected by the combination of treated RR of inorganic fertilizer supplemented with 150% lower of foliar fertilizer. but parameters such as plant height at 90 days, plant height at maturity, panicle height, number of unfilled and filled grains, weight of 1000 seeds and harvest index did not differ significantly. The grain per panicle was a significant effect among the other parameters, wherein T5 and T6 had the highest grain per panicle. Moreover, computed yield per treatment was highly significant where the application of recommended rate of inorganic + 75% of foliar fertilizer or T4 registered the highest yield and highest net income (NI) of Pl 19,132.94/ha or a return of investment of 1016.9%. However significant effects were observed on NSIC RC 216 variety applied with foliar fertilizer by its panicle length, productive tillers, grain per panicle and harvest index. |
