General note ABSTRACT OCAMP0, CHERIPEI V., PANALIGAN, ERIES PAULL N., VENASWUEZ, RYAN JOHN S. July 2022. GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF COBB BROILER CHICKEN FED DIET SUBSTITUTED WITH VARYING LEVELS OF CARICA PAPAYA LEAF MEAL GIVEN TWO BRANDS OF FEEDS. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: JOANARCHC. BRIONES, M.S.A. The objective of the study was to determine the effects of different levels of Carica papaya leaf meal on the growth of broilers,. Specifically, it aimed to determine the following: average initial weight, average final weight, the average gain in weight, average daily gain (ADG), average feed consumption, average feed conversion ratio (FCR); and the mortality. The study was conducted for about 42 days from May 11 to June 22, 2022, at San Jose Mesulo, Arayat, Pampanga. A total of one hundred eighty (180) heads of Cobb broilers were used in this study which was arranged in a 2x3 factorial experiment Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The birds were randomly divided into six (6) treatments and were replicated three times with ten (10) birds per treatment. The experiment has two (2) independent variables which include the Brand of feed as Factor A with two levels: AI - BMEG Commercial Feeds and A2 - GMP Commercial Feeds and the Amount of Carica papaya leaf meal as Factor B which has three (3) levels: BI -Control, B2- 6% and B3 -9%, respectively. Based on the results gathered, the group ofA1B1 (BMEG Control) recorded the highest final weight, gain in weight, Average Daily Gain (ADG), average feed consumed and had the best Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) among the treatment groups. The group in AIBI had an average mean gain in weight of 2852.87 grams, an average daily gain in weight of 25.67 grams, and the lowest FCR with an average of 2.63 to produce lkg ofmeat. Statistical analysis of data revealed that there was no significant difference among all the treatments in used. Based on the data gathered, it was concluded that birds substituted with Carica papaya leaf meal statistically had no significant effect on the growth performance of broilers. In addition, BMEG Contol group had the highest mean compare to GMP Control group.
