General note | The study was conducted for 41 days at Cabayung Sarul Malati Magalang, Pampanga, to assess the effects of Ipil ipil and Neem leaf mealon on the laying performance of Japanese-seattle quail. A total of two hundred sixteen (216) ready-to-lay Japanese Seattle quails were randomly allocated to six treatments, with 12 birds per treatment. Factor A indicates the two types of organic supplements, and Factor B represents the levels of given supplements that were mixed in quail feeds. To conclude, based on the findings of the study, the use of Ipilipil leaf meal and Neem leaf meal on the laying performance of the quails significantly improved the egg production, hen day production, egg weight, shell thickness, and feed conversion ratio of the birds. The cost of using leaf meal in the study was more economical and more effective for the birds and their performance. The result implies that Ipil-ipil and Neem leaf meal could be incorporated in layer quail feeds up to 120 grams, which shows a promising effect on the quails. |
