General note | ABSTRACT This study profiled canine distemper virus (CDV) and canine parvovirus (CPV) infection from small animal veterinary clinics and hospitals in Mabalacat, Pampanga for the year 2020 to 2021. A total of six small animal veterinary clinics and hospitals in Mabalacat participated in the study. Data on age, sex and breed, medical records, month and year of the reported cases, and residence of the owner were gathered and organized using Microsoft Excel®. IBM Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) was used to analyze the data, Chi-Square test determined significant association between CDV, CPV, and the demographic profile of dogs. Findings of this study revealed, the age range 0-6 months had the highest percentage of patients with clinical evidence of CPV infection (72.5 %), whereas 13 months and older had the highest prevalence of CDV infection (7.1 %). Clinical signs of CDV were detected mn 10.8% of the female group and 9.2% of the male group. CPV infection was most prevalent ms males (93%), then females (34.2 %). With rates of 15.9 and 49% for CDV and CPV mfection, respectively, unknown breeds had the greatest rates. Further, 0.8% of dogs that were positive with CDV infection were vaccinated while 3.2% were without any history of vaccination and it appears that 8.4% of vaccinated dogs were still infected with CPV compared to 3 2% of dogs that have never had a vaccine. As regards CDV infection, the climcal sign of ocular discharge had the largest percentage of positive cases (13.1%), whereas vomiting was the most common sign in CPV infection (56.61%). Majority of CDV and CPV cases (23 and 122, respectively) occurred from June to November during the rainy season. Barangay Dapdap and Dau had the greatest percentages of recorded instances of CDV and CPV infection (12 4% and 4%, respectively). CPV infection was the most frequent in Mabalacat City, with 198 cases, followed by CDV, with 53 cases. The infected animals' age and breed showed 8 Statistically significant association with CDV and CPV infection ((p<0.05). However, due to 8 lack of data on some of these characteristics, the statistical association was uncertain. Luna, Cariah Ann Darlah O.
