General note ABSTRACT QUINCY MILES M. DELA CRUZ, JERESSA E. NICASIO, DOMINIC D. SULA July 2022. LAYING PERFORMANCE OF JAPANESE SEATTLE QUAILS (COTURNIX JAPONICA) FED DIET SUBSTITUTED WITH VARYING LEVELS OF DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF SWEET POTATO LEAF MEAL. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: JULIET L. ACOSTA Ph.D. The study was conducted at Sto Nino, Magalang, Pampanga from May 16, 2022 to July 02, 2022 and its primary goal was to determine the laying performance of Japanese Seattle quails (coturnix japonica) fed diet substituted with varying levels of different varieties of sweet potato leaf meal. In layers between the ages of 60 and 108 days, the effects of purple sweet potato leaf meal and Beauregard sweet potato leaf meal on quail production parameters were documented. In this study, 270 layers were divided equally into 18 groups, comprising the control group (fed commercial feeds), two varieties of sweet potato leaf meal, and two levels of application (20% and 30%). Total number of eggs, egg weight, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio were recorded regularly. Future studies might concentrate on increasing the amount of leaf meals consumed to ascertain which is more useful to employ for enhanced quail laying performance.
