Formatted contents note | BARTOLOME, JILMER M., BASANGAN, SILVER JUDE N., DELA PASION, IAN A. July 2022. EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF GOLDEN APPLE SNAIL MEAL FED WITH TWO BRANDS OF COMMERCIAL FEEDS ON THE LAYING PERFORMANCE OF JAPANESE SEATTLE QUAIL. Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: FRANCISCO B. SIMBULAN JR., M.S.A. The study was conducted for 50 days from May 16 to July 04, 2022, at Brgy. San Ildefonso, Magalang, Pampanga. The objective of the study was to determine the effects of different levels of snail meal on the laying performance of quail. Specifically, it aimed to find out the following: percentage of egg production, average egg weight, average feed consumption, average feed conversion ratio (FCR) and cost and return analysis. The study used one hundred eighty (180) heads of Japanese-Seattle Quail. Two by Two (2 x 2) factorial with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) is the experimental design that was used in the study. The birds were divided into 6 treatments, 3 replications with 10 birds per replication and 30 birds per treatment. The experimental treatments were as follows: A,B, = (Control) 100% Sarimanok commercial feeds, A\;B2 = 5% Golden Apple Snail Meal + 95% Sarimanok commercial feeds, AiB3; = 10% Golden Apple Snail Meal + 90% Sarimanok commercial feeds, A2B, = (Control) 100% Pureblend commercial feeds, A2B2 = 5% Golden Apple Snail Meal + 95% Pureblend Premium commercial feeds, and A2B3 = 10% Golden Apple Snail Meal + 90% Pureblend Premium commercial feeds. There is significant difference (5%) observed between treatments on brand of feeds with regards to Egg Produced, Hen Housed, Total Egg Weight, Average Egg Weight, and FCR Dozen. There is a highly significant difference between treatments on FCR Egg Mass. There is no significant difference observed between treatments on Hen Day and Total Feed Consumed. |
