Formatted contents note EVALUATION OF THE PSAU'S STUDENT Title PUBLICATION: SINUKUAN GAZETTE NEWSLETTER Researcher ANTON C. MIRANDA School Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga Degree Bachelor of Science in Development Communication Date Completed : July 2022 Adviser : Renz Q. Garcia The study evaluated the effectiveness of the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU)Sinukuan Gazette Newsletter Vol. 35, Issue No. 3 published for the academic year 2019-2020, as a source of information. Quantitative research method was used in this study and an online survey questionnaire was disseminated to the respondents. The respondents of the study were 100 students from PSAU, Magalang, Pampanga. The study used the Frequency Distribution Table, percentage, mean and Pearson Chi-square Test for statistical analysis. As to the findings, 51% of the respondents are females, who are mostly (41%) 20 to 21 years old, and 4" year students (40%) . In terms of the readability ease score of the Sinukuan Gazette Newsletter Volume 35, Issue No. 03, it gained a grand mean score of 51.78 and a descriptive rating of fairly difficult. With regards to the effectiveness of the newsletter, the respondents perceived all sections (News Section, Editorial and Opinion Section, Feature Section, Development Communication Section and Sports Section) as attractive, comprehensible, acceptable, relevant to them, and persuasive. Hence, the newsletter is perceived as an effective information source as per the students' evaluation. Moreover, the socio-demographic profile in terms of age and sex had no significant relationship with the respondents' perceived effectiveness of newsletter. On the other hand, there is a significant relationship between the year level and college of respondents and their perceived effectiveness of the newsletter. Since the newsletter is effective as an information source to the students, it is recommended for the Sinukuan Gazette Publications to further improve their materials to satisfy the needs and interest of their communities. As such, it also recommended for the publication to pretest their materials to ensure the effectiveness to the target readers. ix.
