Formatted contents note TAMAYO, BERNALINDA C, July 2022. INVENTORY OF ERECT BAMBOO SPECIES PLANTED IN LUBAO BAMBOO HUB AND ECO-PARK. PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY MAGALANG, PAMPANGA. Adviser: DARWIN E. TOTAAN, Ph.D. This quantitative study identified, recorded, assessed, and geotagged the variety of erect bamboo species planted in Lubao Bamboo Hub and Eco-Park through a 100% inventory of the 1.68 ha developed area of the site. Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau's Manual of Procedure for Geospatial-Based Bamboo Resources Inventory and Mapping was used to analyze and interpret the data. This study specifically aimed to identify the current conservation status; assess the species in terms of the number of culms per clump, clump and culm diameter height per culm, and age; determine the diversity of the erect bamboo species; determine how high is the bamboo stand density; and geotag and map the distribution of the erect bamboo species planted in Lubao Bamboo Hub and Eco Park. 6 Based on the findings, seven (7) species were planted in study area, none of which is listed in the verified sources for the updated conservation status of species. In addition, the recorded number of culms and clumps are 6,759 and 228, respectively. With an Importance Value Index of 204.23%, Kawayang Tinik (Bambusa blumeana) is noted as the dominant species in the hub, amounting to 6,419 (95%) of the recorded culms and 160 (70.2%) of the recorded clumps. Moreover, the species richness of the study site is measured at 0.09 and 0.68, with 0.14 uneven distribution and 0.10 low degree diversity and 0.27 very low diversity. The stand density of Lubao Bamboo Hub and Eco-Park is a moderate stand, with 4, 045 culms/ha and 136 clumps/ha. To further explore this study, future researchers may assess all bamboos of various ages to get more precise findings and other attributes not measured in this study. Future studies should also examine the multiple areas of the hub, such as the Material Recovery, Bamboo Setum, Bamboo Product Factory, and more.
