"BLOOD BANK INFORMATION AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM". Adviser, Engr. Rosalle T. Tuazon A blood bank |s a facility that serves as a place where people can buy or donate blood and save many lives. Ironically, the blood banking system faces challenges in operation because of the existing pandemic like lacking blood donors and blood stocks. Patients In need also face difficulties in searching for blood availability. The study entitled, "Blood Bank Information and Inventory Management System," was designed to Improve this medical sector using technology. To meet the aim of the study, the researchers developed a blood banking system with the primary objective of developing an accessible system for managing blood Inventory, checking blood availability, and sending a request and donation forms. Managing the blood banking system helps hospitals in proper procedure and systematic management way in inventorying blood, searching blood availability, and filling out forms. Through the development of the study, the researchers used the SDLC's Waterfall Model, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Use Case Diagram, System Flowchart, Context Diagram and Entity Relationship to examine and determine the flow and output of the program. The researcher used HTMLS as web structure, PHP for the back end, JavaScript for functionalities and MySQL for database management. Observation, interview, questionnaire and internet research were the research instruments used in data gathering. The primary data collected in presented questionnaires were interpreted using statistical procedure. A questionnaire has been distributed online to 25 patient users, three (3) Medical Technologies and (5) IT experts to evaluate system's performance. A cumulative score and descriptive writing were used to interpret the data. Base on the evaluation, most of the respondents evaluated the systems performance is "Strongly Agree", received a score of 3.62 for the patient user and 3.86 for the medical technologies and 3.74 for IT experts, indicating that system meets the required functions and support the users' needs. 4 r6 4 rey Wi Re [ T jt | 7 FB ¥ gO - en. |
