Formatted contents note Wetland ecosystems provide ecosystem services such as habitats for flora and fauna, clear and clean rivers that lessen the effects of natural disasters, as well as recreation such as fishing and thus are regarded as tourist spots. Wetlands are increasingly recognized as a valuable resource for natural resources, and the government and other conservation-related organizations must protect and maintain them. Sasmuan Pampanga Coastal Wetlands (SPCW) is one of the Ramsar sites in the Philippines and this area is of worldwide importance. The results revealed that 50.64% of the respondents were female and 61.86% were fishermen as their main source of income. In regards on the findings of knowledge, attitude, and perceptions 100% of the respondents had a positive perspective and highly knowledgeable towards ecosystem services of SPCW. This research established the present socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of SPCW residents and determined their perceptions on the ecosystem services using formulated questionnaires. The data revealed that 97% of the respondents are informed since they are aware of the ecosystem services of SPCW that may offer habitat for flora and fauna, provide a source of food and a means of subsistence, and mangroves as a helpful tree that can defend their area from natural calamities. The locals intend to protect the environment by allowing bird species to wander and live in peace. They have a favorable view of the area The study demonstrates the relevance of the link between the respondents' knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of the ecosystem services of SPCW and their socio-demographic profile which shows that the link between monthly income and attitude is highly significant. Keywords: Demographic, Ecosystem, Fauna, Flora, Species, Wetlands.
