Formatted contents note This quantitative research intended to determine television dependency of the 4Ps beneficiaries and its effects to their knowledge, attitude and practices on inflation. Through anonlinesurvey, 170 4Ps beneficiaries in Sta. Lucia Magalang, Pampanga participated in the study. Data werepresented and analyzed using percentage, mean, and chi-square. Respondents' perceived the helpfulness of television in terms of satisfying their specific goal. For the desire to understand, people depend on media to be well informed with the latest news and events. For the perceived helpfulness regarding orientation, TV is a helpful medium for advertisements and promotions. Respondents also believe that TV helps in terms of play; it can be their stress reliever. For the knowledge, respondents are aware that inflation decreases the purchasing power of money, food prices also increases that poor household suffer mostly because most of their income is spent on food items. On the attitude, they believe that poor Filipinos are mostly affected with the impacts of inflation. For the practices, the respondents always practice budgeting their money due to price hike. For the correlation, TV dependency, specifically for the understanding and orientation goals significantly affected the respondents' attitude towards inflation. TV dependency, particularly on the orientation goals,alsohighly affected the inflation practices of the respondents. With these, mass media industries were recommended to provide more content with regards to inflation, LGUs and related agencies to expand mobilization drive to educate the public through the use of different media and means.
