Formatted contents note | the study is to assess the effects of cassava (Manihot esculenta) and sweet potato Ipomoea batatas) tuber meal powder on the growth performance of cobb 500. The study was conducted from May 31 to July 4, 2022 held in Purok 1, San Vicente Magalang, Pampanga. A total of 180 broiler chickens were subjected in the experimentation, allocated among two factors in a Randomized Complete Block Design experiment. The degrees of inclusion for factor B and the two types of tuber meals as Factor A. Three (3) biocks and six (6) treatments made up the study. Thirty (30) birds per individual treatment, ten (10) heads each block. The type of tuber meals combined with commercial feeds is represented by factor A, and the degrees of tuber meal inclusion im the feeds, at 5% (S50 grams) and 7% (70 grams), are represented by factor B. The result of the shady indicated that average daily gain (ADG) and weight gain (GIW) are statistically significant (p 0.05), with inclusion rates of 50 and 70 percent resulting in the highest weight gains when compared to pure commercial feeds. The birds fed sweet potato have the highest feed make (~ compared to berds fed cassava in terms of average feed consumption (AFC) and twoel feed consumed (TFC), which are significant (0.05) between two tuber meals. There is ao significant cisflerence between treatments in terms of feod conversion ratio (FCR). |
