Formatted contents note | To evaluate the effects of varying levels of fermented kangkong juice and fermented dragon fruit peel juice supplementation on the laying performance of Japanese Seattle Quails, a study was conducted from May 18, 2022 to June 18, 2022 at Panducena, Bebe Anac, Masantol, Pampanga. Three hundred twelve heads of forty-seven (47) day old Japanese Seattle Quails were used in the study with a two-factor (factorial experiment) arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). There are eight (8) treatments with thirty-nine (39) heads of quail per treatment, and it will replicate three (3) times at thirteen (13) birds per replication. The collected data was subjected to a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results revealed that the overall laying performance was determined by mean feed intake, mean water intake, total number of eggs, hen-housed and hen-day egg production, mean egg weight, and mean FCR (egg mass and per dozen) were not affected by fermented kangkong juice and fermented dragon fruit peels juice supplementation through the drinking water. However, the overall result on return and above feed cost disclosed a bright prospect of FKJ with a 20 ml level (10.04 Php). |
