Formatted contents note The study was conducted to determine and analyze the impact of Sikat Saka Program to selected farmer-beneficiaries in San Luis, Pampanga. This study covered 2 IA and 3 barangays with a total of 30 respondents. The researcher used purposive sampling. The majority of the respondents were within 51 to 65 years of age. male, married and have elementary as the highest level of education. The average family size was with 4 members, with a mean estimated monthly income of 22.083 pesos. The research instrument used was a questionnaire administered through interviews. The impact of SSP to the farmer-beneficiaries was analyzed using the data on their household economic activity, farm productivity and marketing practices. Household economic activity involves the comparative variables on their standard of living. income and access to services. Farm productivity was assessed using a cost and return analvsis. Marketing practices of the farmer-beneficiaries were analyzed whether the Sikat Saka Program attained its goal on providing market access to the borrowers. The results of the study showed significant changes and positive impact of the SSP on the farmers household economic activity and farm productivity. However. there was no effect on their marketing practices. The most perceived impact of SSP was the increase in their farm income.The most encountered problem before the implementation of Sikat Saka Program was the lack of capital During their SSP membership, the beneficianes struggled with high input costs, particularly fertilizers and land use. The possible solutions suggested by the researcher was to monitor the middlemen on imposing their interest rates, to properly monitor the acquisition of farm input supply. It is also suggested to promote research and development on the agriculture sector.
