Formatted contents note This study was conducted for 40 days at Sitio Mabato bato, Barangay San Francisco, Magalang, Pampanga to assess the effect of different brands of commercial feeds and centrosema leaf meal on Japanese Taiwan quails in terms of hen-day, henhoused, egg weight, feed consumption and FCR. A total of 180 Japanese Taiwan quails were used in this study following a two by three (2x3) factorial experiment in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Factor A were the different brands of commercial feeds (Al - Sarimanok and A2 - TBL), Furthermore, Factor B were the different levels of centrosema leaf meal (B1 - 0%, B2 - 5%, and B3 ~ 10%). Both factors were combined and distributed into six (6) treatments. The gathered data were subjected into statistical analysis using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to determine the significant differences of the treatments. Findings revealed that both factors had significantly affected the parameters on laying performance of quails. Birds in the control group (AIB1) performed the best in terms of converting feeds to eggs. Therefore, the authors concluded that the varying dietary protein content and the levels of centrosema leaf meal (CLM) did significantly influence the laying performance of Japanese Taiwan Quail. Furthermore, based on the results, it is recommended to include Sarimanok Quail Layer on the diets of quails.
