Formatted contents note | The home-based On-the-job Training aimed to enhance the skills and technical know-how in poultry production. This home-based OJT also recommended good animal husbandry practices that can exhibit enhancement in poultry raising operation and management. The home-based OJT used various management practices that would lead to better broiler production. Conducive housing with proper lighting was given to the birds to keep them comfortable and grow faster. Feeds were provided through ad libitum scheme to meet the nutritional requirement. Health status of the birds were monitored and proper administration of veterinary drugs were also practiced. Biosecurity was also strictly implemented to prevent the introduction of infectious diseases and microbial infection. It was revealed that these husbandry practices were efficient and important part of management practices in poultry raising. In conclusion, proper implementation of good animal husbandry practices and biosecurity measures were best practices to ensure the efficiency and productivity of broiler production. |
