Formatted contents note This farm practice regarding dairy farm was conducted at Batangas Dairy and Muki-purpose Cooperative (BADACO), Barangay Inosloban Lipa City. Batangas from June 20 to August 3, 2019, Throughout the training, in fulfillment of the objective of this study im providing actual farm practices for the student-trainee, she was able to experience different practices on cattle production such as assisting of laborers, ear notching, dehorning, milking, collecting of forage (Napier Grass), calf rearing, herding, and disbudding. The student-trainee learned the animal health program of the farm, feeding practices, and different management related in farming industry. In line with this, the student-trainee was able to apply school-based knowledge to actual field operation and had the chance to experience different field work situation common in farm that can only be learn through experience. However, the students discovered certain problems arising in the farm which includes lack of supply like iodine, vitamins, chemicals, etc, that actually took a long time to resupply and lack of equipment that can be used for cattle production, improper monitoring of cattle concerned with the pregnancy records that cannot be monitored properly and the proper habitat or housing of cattle in the area to sustain proper production. This training helped the student-trainee to augment her understanding and confidence regarding the different practices performed in cattle production. It also helped the student-trainee to be flexible and skillful in doing different tasks. Through the farm practice, the student-trainee earned valuable knowledge concerning the policies in the business involving dairy cattle farm, which she can apply in the future as she pursues her chosen career.
