Formatted contents note This study aimed to find out if linguistic, age, and social factors contribute to the attrition on the Kapampangan language. Specifically, it sought to find out the performance of the Kapampangan respondents in using original Kapampangan words; the relationship between linguistic and age factors; and relationship between linguistic and social factors. To achieve the objective of the study, the des riptive-inferential method design was used. There were 35 respondents were chosen through purposive sampling to fairly cluster them into seven groups. The researcher formulated a three-part questionnaire to gather information on the profile of the respondents in terms of their age, name, and language/s used (at home and in school); and to identify their familiaraty in identifying original Kapampangan words. Data were retrieved on the same day the instrument was administered. They were ana yzed to answer the objectives of the study. Based on the findings, Kapampangan and Tagalog are the languag s that are often used by the respondents at home and in school. The age group 31-40 years old obtained a good performance in identifying original Kapampangan words. ¥ rthermore, there is no significant relationship between linguistic and age factors; linguistic and age factors.
