Formatted contents note In this period of time, daily planner is a notebook consisting of date and time, where people can easily remember what date and day it is today when writing the day to day activities and plans. But there are certain planner apps that are not free to use and sometimes require payment when using their different features. This project is designed by IT students with the primary objective of developing an android-based student daily planner application to provide a free and easy to use daily planner notification app that can manage an individual user's calendar. The research methodology used in this study is the Software Development Life Cycle Waterfall Model which was first introduced by Or. Winston Royce in 1970. The researchers chose to use the modified waterfall model which overcomes the drawback of the classic waterfall model as it inclides feedback system between stages, so if there would be problem/s detected at any phase, the feedback system will allow developers to correct errors from previous phases. This methodology helped the researchers to sort things out the soonest time after being identified as the probability of going all stages to solve an error had been avoided. Furthermore, as it was a waterfall model system, requirements and objectives for each phase were carefully established before proceeding to the next ones which helped the researchers develop the application software systematically. A questionnaire has been distributed online to thirty (30) randomly selected IT students of Pampanga State Agricultural University, who evaluated the system and application performance, and three (3) professional IT experts who evaluated the functionality, understandability, usability and reliability of the application. it was used to verify that the system functioned property, that each feature work properly and effectively. Based on the results, most of the respondents evaluated the application's performance as "Strongly Agree," gamering a score of 3.65 for IT students and 3.53 as "Excellent" for IT experts, indicating that the system meets its required functionality and supports students' needs. Therefore, the developed system is found to be beneficial to the IT students in terms of providing a free and easy to use daily planner notification app.
