Formatted contents note The study was conducted to analyze the production and marketing of vegetables, specifically peanuts, squash, and eggplant, in Matamo Arayat, Pampanga. There were 78 respondents in this study who were farmers, traders, and retailers. The objectives were to describe the socio-economic situation of the respondents; identify and estimate costs of production and marketing vegetables; and analyze the cost and return of vegetable production; and provide alternative solutions to the problems encountered. In terms of cost and return analysis of the market for vegetables, farmers cultivated a total sale of P54,592.38 in the entire month. The total expenses costed P23,372. The farmer earned a profit of P31,220.38 per cropping. The return of investment of the farmers per cropping and marketing vegetables is 133.58%. In terms of cost and return analysis, traders had total sale of P1 19,294 in the entire month. The total expenses costed P37,849, which means that that the trader earned a profit of P61,770.31 a month This simply implies that traders of vegetables earn a profit. In terms of cost and return analysis of the market for vegetables, retailers had total sales of 40,687.49 every month. The expenses total cost 10,033.33. These means that the retailers earned a profit of P19,726.76 a month. it also implies that the most profitable vegetable is peanut among the top three produced vegetables in Matamo, Arayat Pampanga. Based on the results, the highest is 37, or 44.05% of the farmers' problem encountered include low farm gate prices. The traders' 29 or 60.42 competitors are one 0 the problems in this kind of firm. The study conducted showed that the vegetable retailer encountered problems like unstable prices, with an average of 41, or 41.84%. The possib! solution to the problem accounted for is proper price monitoring. Proper price monitorir has a big impact on increasing income for retailers, which will benefit customers as well.
