DIETARY INCLUSION OF TAMARIND LEAF XTRACTS: ITS EFFECT ON THE GENERATIVE, BIOMETRIC, AND HISTOLOGICAL HARACTERS OF NILE TILAPIA (Oreochromis nilotius). Master of Science in Siology. Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, ampanga dviser: DANTE M. MENDOZA, M.S. AQUA This study aimed to determine the effect of crude extract and pray~dried powder of tamarind leaves on the development of monosex opulations as well as some biometric characteristics of Nile Tilapia. he experimental approach was used in this study, specifically the est of normality in frequentist statistics. A one-way analysis of rariance (ANOVA) was used to compare the treatment effects. Multiple comparisons utilizing a post hoc test evaluate differences between airs of means to determine whether treatments were substantially lifferent. The bioactive compounds of tamarind leaves' crude extract and spray-dried powder from Pampanga State Agricultural University vere evaluated for their phytochemical components. Flavonoids, steroids, phenols, tannins, alkaloids, anthraquinones, essential sils, and organic materials were found to express the desired activity using Thin-layer Chromatography (TLC). In the perspective »9f monosex reversal, the results were statistically significant among che treatments. Post hoc comparisons revealed that there were more male cilapias successfully sex-reversed through the alpha treatment (p=0.000) compared to tamarind crude extract and spray-dried powder. Keywords: phytochemical component, biometrics characters, Monosex Population, and Tilapia Species Master of Science in Biology February 2022.
