"STUDENT ATTENDANCE MONITORING SYSTEM USING @WOSETRICS." @&aeiser. Eric D. Dungca The study aimed to develop a system entitled "Student Attendance Monitoring Sestem Using Biometrics" to help the faculty lessen the time consumed in checking the a@endance of each student and to avoid the loss of the saved attendance sheets of the stents. The specific objectives were: to generate student's attendance report to the faculty; to access the student attendance online and offline; to manage the list of the saents or users in the system; to validate the system according to accuracy, tsnctionality, user-friendliness, compatibility, and the reliability. The researchers used different types of research instruments such as the fterview, Internet research, library research and questionnaires to gather these were sed to collect data in the process of system development. The data gathered from the questionnaires were processed for the statistical procedure to obtain the objectives to the wcaie. Diagrams was used to represent and understand the process, functions and the fow of the system such as the Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Use-Case Diagram and System Sowchart were used as a visual presentation of the process, flow and functions of the study and system. The study composed of software and hardware components, the software was snade in Php and MySqdi in database, while the hardware composed of fingerprint twometrics. The software and hardware are combined to produce the system "Student attendance monitoring system using fingerprint biometrics'. The system was tested to fulfill the completion of the system. The respondents evaluated the developed system using the questionnaires. The results from the questionnaires of the faculty and students obtained overall mean same mean of 3.8 which stterprets as "Strongly Agree", while the |.T experts got an overall mean of 3.5 which also mterprets as "Strongly Agree". The system was beneficial because of the overall output of the study. The system proved that it has accurate data or information of the students because it is accurate in time of student's attendance log. Therefore as the recommendation of the researchers to further test and incorporate the system in the process of checking the attendance of the student in the locale.
