Formatted contents note PANGILINAN, JESSIE D. 2021. "DIFFERENT LEVELS OF NITROGEN AND POTASSIUM IN RELATION TO LODGING RESPONSE OF WET SEASON RICE". Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser. DR. VIRGILIO DM. GONZALES The study was conducted at Brgy. San Ildefonso, Magalang, Pampanga from July | 2020 to November 2020. The treatments used for the different levels of Nitrogen (N) and Potassium (K2O) were as follows: NIK1, NIK2, NIK3, N2K1, N2K2, N2K3, N3K1, | N3K2 and N3K3. The author used an arranged treatment for the following morphological traits related to lodging: morphological traits related to lodging which includes plant height (cm), stem length (cm), panicle length (cm), flag leaf length (cm), number of internodes, 3™ internode length (cm), 4" intemode length (cm), 3™ internode diameter (mm), 4" intemode diameter (mm), 3™ internode bending moment (g cm), and 4°' internode bending moment (g cm). It also included yield components such as number of productive tillers, grain number per panicle and 1000 grain weight (g), lodging score, harvest index, grain yield (kg ha''), total dry mass at maturity, root-shoot ratio, and cost and retum analysis. A simple two-way ANOVA Randomized Compiete Block Design (RCBD) was performed and differences were determined using Least Significant Difference (LSD). | A significant difference was obtained in the lodging response of wet season rice evaluated from the morphological traits related to lodging. It was shown in this study that the minimal incidence of lodging response was recorded at 35kg rate per hectare N level whatever the KO level is. However, the most applicable level in terms of yield components was 10Skg rate per hectare N level and 30kg rate per hectare for K20 level.
