Formatted contents note | PASION, JOY CELINE A. July 2022, "FERTILIZER EFFICIENCY OF SELECTED VARIETIES OF SWEET POTATO". Master of Science in Agriculture, major in Agronomy. Pampanga State Agricultural University PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: JOEL Q. MALIWAT, MSA The study was conducted in San Nicolas Sta. Ana Pampanga to evaluate the fertilizer efficiency for growth and yield performance of selected varieties of sweet potato. Treatments were: F,No fertilizer, F;_225 grams of complete fertilizer (Farmer's practice): F3210 grams 50% lower RR: F4. 420 grams (100% based on recommendation on soil analysis): Fs630 grams 50% higher RR were applied to the selected varieties of sweet potato (Super Bureau, Ube variety and Taiwan variety). A total of 1,017 square meters was used in the experiment following the procedure in two-factor Factorial in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Fertilizer was the main treatment and selected varieties served as the sub-treatments. Fertilizer used exhibited no significant result, on the other hand, significant difference was found in Super Bureau variety on length of vines, weight of tubers, diameter of tubers, harvest index and computed yield per hectare, A significant difference was also observed in Taiwan variety on the number of marketable tubers and total dry mass while number of non-marketable tubers was statistically the same, | Based on the findings, there was no noticeable impact on fertilizer use efficiency on selected varieties on agronomic characteristics and yield performance of sweet potato. According to the research, as compared to the other treatments, 50% lower RR fertilizer had the highest net income. Cost and return analysis revealed that 50% of the fertilizer recommendation among the varieties tested obtained a net income of 188,660 - 283,910 per hectare with 287% - 432% of Return of investment. |
