"LAYING PERFORMANCE OF JAPANESE SEATTLE QUAILS (Coturnix japonica) SUBJECTED TO DIFFERENT LEVELS OF ENZYME MIXED WITH PROBIOTICS AND MINERALS" AT SAPALIBUTAD, ANGELES CITY. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: RICARDO D. HERNANDEZ JR., M.S.A The use of digestive enzymes and probiotics has been an essential in the poultry industry in improving the efficiency of meat and egg production of birds. This study investigated the impact of different levels of Enzyme (DIGESTIVE ENZYMES+ and SAKTO FORMULA PRODUCTS) on the laying performance of Japanese Seattle quails in terms of the following parameters: (1) percentage hen day production, percentage egg production, egg weight, feed consumed, feed conversion ratio, egg shell thickness egg size and water consumption. A total of 180 healthy ready-to-lay Japanese Seattle quails of uniform age at six weeks were subjected to different treatment and observation for 28 days. Two-factor (factorial experiment) arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in the study. A total of six treatments with three replications were utilized: Factor A, with two brands of enzymes and Factor B, with the level of enzymes (three levels for each brand) mixed in their water. The use of probiotics and digestive enzymes on different concentrations had no significant effect on the laying performance of Japanese Seattle quails. Statistical analysis suggests that there was no significant difference between the six treatments in terms of the parameters measured. With the findings, further study is needed to investigate the most reliable probiotics and enzyme supplements for different bird species' drinking water.
