Formatted contents note | Raton, Ralp Emerson This study was conducted using the developmental design of research in order to develop and validate an interactive e-book in Biotechnology for Grade 8 Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) program. The researcher utilized purposive sampling to determine the evaluators. The evaluation instruments created by the Pampanga State Agricultural University College of Education were utilized to determine the essential learning competencies and evaluate the e-book. The Lawshe Table for content validity ratio was utilized to establish if a competency is necessary or not and was used in crafting the ebook. Sixteen out of twenty competencies in Biotechnology were identified as essential. There were four phases in developing the interactive Biotechnology e-book: planning phase, design phase, analysis phase, and development phase. The electronic book was subjected to evaluation by two sets of evaluators (10 experts per group) utilizing the Evaluation Rating Sheet for DE and ODeL Modules. The results revealed that the evaluators agreed that the interactive e-book met all the criteria in the four evaluation factors: content, design/format, technical/technological, and pedagogical. Therefore, the interactive e-book in Biotechnology is recommended in the Grade 8 Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) program.
