Formatted contents note JOSHUA F, DAQUIS, August 2021, GERMINATION AND INITIAL GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF AKLENG PARANG = (4/bitla procera Roxb,(Benth)) SEEDS UNDER DIFFERENT. PRE-TREATMENT METHODS, Bachelor of Science in Forestry major in Forest Resource Management, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magulang, Pampanga. Adviser: ALLAIN JAMES T. AQUINO, RF The purpose of this study was to determine tho impact of pre-treatmonts on germination and initial growth of Akleng Parang secds in relation to various pre-germination treatments. The study's research strategy was the Randomized Complete Blocked Design (RCBD), in which T! was no pre-treatment (control), and T2 was alternate wet and dry treatments for days (water from 6pm to 6am and air dry from 6am to 6pm). T3Soaking for 24 hours in tap water T4Soaking in hot water (100°C) for 3 seconds, T5ScarificationScratching the radicle section of the seed with sand puper. Three times the therapies were carricd out. In terms of Percent of Germination, Germinative Energy, Germinative Capacity, Energy Period, and Mortality, TS - scarification - utilizing sand paper to scratch the radicle part of the seed pre-treatment germination produced the greatest results. Furthermore, there is no significant difference in terms of Percent of Germination, Germinative Energy, Germinative Capacity, Energy Period, and Mortality, according to the results. In research 2, the researcher advocate extending the germination period to prevent immature seedlings from dying after transplanting and to achieve a better result while collecting data such as leaf number, stem diameter, and plant height.
