Formatted contents note | This descriptive-inferential study aimed to know the preferred personality based on tone and intonation through the halo effect of selected College of Arts and Sciences Students. Specifically, it determined the profile of the respondents in terms of sex; the preferred personalities of the respondents in terms of the pre-evaluation test and post-evaluation test; significant difference between the preferred personalities of the male and female respondents; Significant difference between the preferred personalities in the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation tests; and the relationship between the preferred personalities and sex of the respondents. The researcher used percentage and frequency to determine the .-profile of the students, mean scores to determine the preferred personality in pre-evaluation and in post evaluation, T-test Independent scores to determine the difference between the preferred personalities of the male and female respondents and difference between the preferred personality in pre-evaluation and post evaluation test, and Chi-square to determine the relationship of preferred personalities and the sex of the respondents. The results showed that in both pre-evaluation and postevaluation tests, most of the respondents preferred a person with an upbeat tone and intonation. There is no Significant difference between the preferred personalities of the male and female respondents in the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation for the upbeat tone and intonation, but there is a significant difference was noted between the preferred personalities of the male and female respondents in the pre-evaluation for downbeat tone and intonation, however, there is no Significant difference between the |
