Formatted contents note The study was conducted to determined and analyzed the cropping pattern used Cropping, especially on sweet potato in the municipality of Concepcion, Tarlac. A total of 62 respondents were identified in the study covering 3 barangays. All the respondents are male, the majority of the respondents are between ages 51 to 60 years of age, most of them are married with medium size of family, and majority are high school level in educational attainment. 61 or 98.39% or almost of the respondent are using three cropping season year-round and majority of the respondents are using rice-corn sweet potato cropping pattern have the highest respond of 38 or 61.29% and followed by rice-rice-sweet potato with 23 or 37.10%. In month they were engage in first cropping most of the respondents were fall in June to October with 43 or 69.36%, in second cropping majority of the respondent were fall in October to January with 32 or 51.60% and in third cropping majority of the respondent were fall in March to June with 29 or 47.54%. The advantages in cultivating sweet potato; high profit/profitable has the highest response that have 62 or 100% and in disadvantages; hard to control pest and diseases has the highest response that have 62 or 100%. In volume of production averages yield per hectare in rice 81.76 sacks, corn 154.10 sacks and in sweet potato 79.50 sacks and with the farm gate prices of P13.16/kg in rice, P10.52/kg in corn and P1079.03/sacks in sweet potato. In cost and return analysis in sweet potato production by the respondents earned a net income of 51,546.96 per hectare of their farm, and an ROI of 150.56%. And in the problems encountered; weather/climate has the highest response and followed by pest and diseases with 62 or 100% and 58 or 93.55% respectively. In possible solution practice good draining system got the highest respond followed by applying chemicals that they have 35 or 56.45% and 27 or 43.54% respectively.
