Formatted contents note Irrigation placed an important role for plant growth in increasing farmer's yield and income. Solar-Powered Irrigation System presents a promising solution on catering the irrigation needs of the country. Aside from being more sustainable it is environment-friendly as compared to fuel driven irrigation pumps. The study was conducted to evaluate the socioeconomic effect of solar-powered irrigation system (SPIS) in Barangay Bambang, Candaba, Pampanga. The data gathered were analyzed using mean and percentages. Result shows that there is 100% increase in the social aspect of the farmers. A total of 73.7% was the increase in their farm utilization area and in terms of farmers cropping frequency there has been an increase of 47.4%. According to the data, 52.6% reported an increase in crop planting, 57.9% indicated that their yields had increased and 73.7% increase in their income. . The Department of Agricultural - Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) III Solar Powered Irrigation System project benefited and was accepted by the farmers of Bambang Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BMPC) at Brgy. Bambang, Candaba, Pampanga. The SPIS contributed to an adequate and sustainable: water supply, which resulted in an increase in farmers' utilization area, yield and income.
