500 ## - GENERAL NOTE
General note This study aimed to determine the potential molluscicidal effect of Balakat and Bikas against golden apple snail using Toxicity Assay by LC50 and LC95. It focused on identifying the mortality rate of the snails when treated with the plant extracts. Ten golden apple snails were distributed on each basin filled with 500 ml of water and 2000 grams of mud to mimic the natural habitat of snails into seven treatment groups with three replications using Complete Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 were the plant extracts with two optimized concentrations of 100%, 50% and 1:1 ratio combination of the two extracts, while treatment 6 and 7 was the negative (Tap water) and positive (Bayluscide) control. A 100 ml of treatment solutions were applied to each basin. Based on the results of the study, both Balakat and Bikas possessed a molluscicidal effect against golden apple snails at 100% concentration. Taking into account the conclusions drawn from the previous results, this study should be tested on the rice fields for more reliable and comprehensive results.
