500 ## - GENERAL NOTE
General note This study was conducted to detect the presence of Cathepsin B3 of Gasciola gigantica in Lymnaea spp. from three municipalities in Pampanga (Magalang, Mabalacat City, and Porac) using Reverse Transcription Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification. The study areas had the highest carabao population in Pampanga based on records from the Provincial Veterinary Office. A total of 540 snails were collected from three barangays of each municipality. Sixty (60) snails were collected per barangay: 30 from vegetation and the other 30 from swamp areas. The highest detection rate of Fasciola gigantica was identified in Magalang at 100%, followed by Mabalacat at 61.11%, and Porac at 44.44%. Data gathered were tabulated and the means were compared and statistically analyzed to compare the detection rates between vegetation and swamp areas among municipalities using T-test and One-way ANOVA. The results showed that there was significant association among the three municipalities while there was no significant association between vegetation and swamp areas.
