General note | This study was conducted from November 2018 to February 2019 at the experimental area of Crop Science in Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC Magalang, Pampanga. The experiment determined the growth and yield performance of topped finger pepper applied with different levels of potassium. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications was the design of the experiment. The treatments were: T1 - Untopped with 286 g ammonium sulfate and 50 kg muriate potash, T2 - topped with 286 g ammonium sulfate and 50 kg muriate potash, T3 - topped with 286 g ammonium sulfate and 50 kg muriate potash + 12.5 kg potassium, T4 - topped with 286 ammonium sulfate and 50 kg muriate potash + 25 kg potassium and T5 - topped with 286 ammonium sulfate and 50 kg muriate potash + 37.5 potassium. The result revealed that there was no significant effect of topped finger pepper applied with different levels of potassium on plant height, fruit size and number of non-marketable fruit. However, significant effects were observed on topped finger pepper applied with different levels of potassium in terms of number of branches produced, number of marketable fruits, number of fruit per sample plant, fruit weight and number of priming. |
