General note This study was conducted at Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga from January 2020 to March 2020 to design, fabricate and evaluate the performance of Portable Dent Corn Hammer mill. The capacity, efficiency and recovery of the machine, time consumed when processing the dent corn and cost of materials were determined. Statistical analysis was done using single factor ANOVA and Least Significant Difference (LSD) to determine the significant difference among treatments in the evaluation of the machine. The grand mean capacity of the machine was 26.59 kg/hr with treatment 1 as the highest capacity and a mean of 27.89 kg/hr. Moreover, the grand mean efficiency of the machine was 98.85% with the highest efficiency at treatment 3 with a mean of 99.22%. The recovery of the machine produced a better milled corn at treatment 3 with a mean of 76.56%. The total cost of producing the machine is Php11,231.00 with a net income of Php60,594.58/year obtained in a payback of 0.19 years or 70 days. It is best to use treatment 3 with the pulley diameter of 5.5" to have a highly significant terms of recovery.
