General note The study generally aimed to assess the implementation of RA 9003, otherwise known as the Philippine Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 in the Pampanga State Agricultural University and to use the said assessment as a basis for mapping the locations of segregating bins inside the university. Quantitative research design was eployed in the study to meet the research objectives. Survey questionnaires and interviews were utilized in gathering data. The respondents of the study were composed of 299 student-respondents, 23 employee-respondents and 48 household-respondents from Pampanga State Agricultural University. Multiple softwares such as Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS), Google Earth, and Global Positioning System (GPS) Marker were used to generate a map the location of segregating bins of the university. Results showed that most of the respondents were aware that RA 9003, otherwise known as the Philippine Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 is being implemented inside the university. Most of them practice segregationof solid waste. Burning of solid waste mostly occurred in household areas, especially in the cottages areas. Segregation was not being practiced at the university's Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), and burning of solid waste also occurred in the said area. GIS-based map was developed showing the existing segregating bins in the University. There were 91 segregating bins distributed inside the University and properly labeled based on the type of wastes to be thrown in each bin.
