ABSTRACT TITLE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES OF TORRES : AUTHOR ADVISER SCHOOL VEGETABLE FARM ANGEL BRYAN G. BRIONES MR. JANSEN JOSHUA L. CANLAS PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY DEGREE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS YEAR COMPLETED JUNE 2023 The study was conducted at Torres Vegetable Farm located at Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac, Pampanga. The study provides information concerning the management practices in terms of organization, investments, production, marketing, and finance. For aspiring future entrepreneurs especially in "Farming" this study provides information that might be needed in putting up the business. For future researchers, this will serve as a reference material to those who want to undertake similar studies. Primary data were gathered through series of personal interviews with the farm owner of Torres Vegetable Farm, who also contributed in gathering the information needed. The data gathered were from areas of (1) Organization, consists of organizational chart, and duties and responsibilities; (2) Investment, consist of the investment activities; (3) Production, consists of area and location and cultural management; (4) Marketing, which are the 7C's of marketing; and (5) Finance, consists of income statement and statement of financial position. Secondary data were gathered from current data available and reading material in internet and library. The firm is sole proprietorship type of business registered from under the name Torres Vegetable Farm which is the owner Mr. Renato C. Torres. Identification and problem analysis were done regarding the organization and production of the firm. The following are the problem encountered by the firm (1) in organization, Lack of Laborer specifically Bookkeeper; (2) in production, Lack of Machineries; (3) in marketing, Channel of Distribution; and (4) Insecticides and Pesticides. Alternative courses of action are formulated and evaluated to determine a possible solution to recommend for the problem given. Based on evaluation, the following are recommended to improve the operation and production of Torres Vegetable Farm; for organization first problem, the farm for which the owner hired at least one bookkeeper. A financial report for the farm is important in the modern world.; for production first problem, the farm they purchased additional equipment for their farm's production, laborers won't have to wait for the same machine to be used.; for marketing first problem, it will be easier for them to deliver vegetables if it is close to their place.; and for the second problem, to maintain the attention of each worker on the crops being planted. This makes it possible to prevent an increase of insects or pests that damage crops.
