ABSTRACT Calma, Jonel C. May 2022. KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICES ON CONSUMING RAW VEGETABLES IN SAMGYEOPSAL. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOLOGY. Pampanga State Agricultural University Adviser: Assoc. Prof. Maila Francisca M. Calaguas The study used the descriptive method of research in order to determine the knowledge, attitude, and practices of consumers on eating raw vegetables in Samgyeopsal at home such as Lettuce (Lactuca sativa). Using Google forms, surveys have been disseminated using social media platforms such as Facebook messenger and e-mails to students of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang Pampanga. The respondents were composed of 310 students from the three programs of the College of Arts and Sciences, where most of the respondents were from the first year BS Biology students, ranging from 20 to 24 years old female. The data gathered were analyzed for frequency, percentage distribution, median, mean, and p value, The evaluation of respondents' knowledge, attitude, and practices found that they have Adequate Knowledge (mean = 4.0), Disagree Attitude (mean = 2.4) and Often Practices (mean = 4,1) on consuming raw vegetables specifically lettuce in Samgyeopsal. Kendall's tau and Chi-square Statistical methods were used to examine the relationship between the profile and KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practices) of respondents. Results show that course and sex had no significant relationship with knowledge, attitude, and practices of the respondents in consuming lettuce. However, sex has significant relationship with practices as seen on female respondents having better consuming practices. It is also noted that year level has significant relationship with knowledge revealing that the higher level, the greater their knowledge.
