A farm practice in a Swine farm was conducted at Brookside Group of Companies from May 03 to June 16, 2018. The training was able to provide experience and knowledge to the student trainee in the different management practice and daily activities in a swine farm. It is essential to apply all the knowledge learned from the classroom with actual practices they learned inside the farm. Throughout the period of farm practice, the student trainee was able to obtain skills and acquire knowledge in the proper handling and management practices and measures such as; preparation of farrowing; feeds and feeding, proper vaccination regarding the different ages of swine; administration of suitable dose of medication; Providing water, weighing of swine; disinfection; and proper record keeping.
