The farm practice was conducted at Victa Farm located in Pandacaqui Mexico, Pampanga, from April 25 to June 08, 2019. The farm practice is done to enhance the skills and knowledge in cattle production. The farm practice is an effective way to learn the actual practices in the farm. The student-trainee learned a lot of different activities in the cattle production which improved his skills and knowledge such as: a. feeding system; b. medication; c. branding; d. dehorning; ear tagging, f. deworming; g. urea molasses mixture; and h. spraying molasses mixture. The student-trainee was able to familiarize how cattle were raised. It also gave an opportunity to the student-trainee to develop their social skills that they could use for the chosen career. The student-trainee encountered few problems in the farm such as: a. Some machineries in the farm were not well-maintained. Therefore, when one of the machines is not working, the work will be delayed; b. Lack of biosecurity--when someone enters the farm, proper disinfection is not done. As what observed, they did not keep a record of all farm visitors and disposable footwear were not provided. Possible solutions to the problems were suggested such as: a. the farm manage should always check or monitor the machinery before use; and b. build or add biosecurity in the farm to reduce and prevent the disease or pests of animals.
