The farm practice was conducted at the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) National Bull Farm located at Barangay Joson (Digdig), Caranglan, Nueva Ecija from April 16 to May 29, 2018. The National Bull Farm overall objective is to promote the development of the entire carabao industry as a direct means of improving the general well-being of the Filipinos particularly the rural farming families. Currently, it has 67 bulls, 57 bulls are matured bulls and regularly collect their semen twice-a-week. The PCC has Semen Processing Laboratory with modern equipment for semen evaluation and processing. The farm practice involved actual activities in terms of proper management of bulls such as: proper feeding, proper housing, and health management. The Semen Processing Laboratory is responsible for preparation of artificial vagina, semen evaluation, preparing of semen extender, semen processing, and filling of semen straw.
